Hawk was the second addition to the Dashadon pack.  We were looking for another Borzoi, preferably a male, to run and play with Luna.  Edd Abblett made us aware of the availability of Hawk, who was staying at Lisa Cole's kennels.  When we first saw him he took our breath away.  Then we saw him move…and we were sold.  He came home with us that day, and is a wonderful friend of Luna's and also of all the girls in our pack.  We have been told that, of all of his brothers and sisters, he looks most like his father, Ch. Mariza Rising Star Forever.  He is well known for his stunning profile and ground covering sidegait.

Hawk finished his championship easily, taking two majors and a reserve during Lompoc weekend, one of which was a five point major at the Borzoi Club of California summer specialty show.  Until an illness ended his show career in mid-2000 he was ranked in the top ten of American Borzoi with very limited showing.  He has a group win and a group placement to his credit.  He is also an international champion of record.

Hawk is an incurable prankster.  He is very good at opening and closing doors, and he often does his trick at the most dramatic times.

We are grateful to Mary Fisher and Pat Toy, Mariza Borzoi, and Lisa Cole, Sterling Borzois, for allowing Hawk to be a part of our Dashadon family
